Homayoun Ghanizadeh is a pioneering Iranian theatre. His debut film "A Hairy Tale" has received critical acclaim. As a supporter of the Woman Life Freedom movement, Ghanizadeh continues to advocate for women's rights and freedom of expression in Iran.

Homayoun Ghanizadeh is an Iranian avant-garde theatre and film director, playwright, and actor known for his innovative and boundary-pushing works. Born on December 5, 1980, in Tehran, he founded the Mungu Theater Company in 2001, which has become a significant platform for experimental theater in Iran. Ghanizadeh gained early recognition with his production of Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot" in 2003. His later works, such as "Daedalus and Icarus" and "Caligula," have been acclaimed both domestically and internationally.

Ghanizadeh has been a vocal supporter of the Women, Life, Freedom movement, which emerged in response to the death of Mahsa Amini in 2022. This movement advocates for women's rights and broader democratic freedoms in Iran. Ghanizadeh, along with many other Iranian artists, has used his platform to amplify the voices of protesters and criticize the government's oppressive policies​ .
